Hood Scoops
Hood scoops add a sporty touch to
your pickup truck or car. Here's a little secret you may or may
not already know: a lot of the scoops you see on trucks, SUVs, and
cars aren't real working ones. And yours doesn't have to be
either!
If you have one of those pickups
that's been tricked out in a sporty way, it's begging for a cool
hood scoop. But installing a real one involves drilling and
cutting and a lot of mess. Luckily, many manufacturers offer faux
hood scoops that use strong, removable adhesive tape to affix to
your truck (see below).
Whichever way you go, be
creative! If your pickup's a flashy hot rod, you'll want dual
scoops with large flares. If it's more subtly accessorized, get a
scoop that is a bit more understated.
